Jenny Fernandez undertook a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro to pay for a cooking area at Kimanganuni Primary School at which she was a volunteer. Julia Reynders raised funds for You Touch Africa by successfully running the 2008 London Marathon! The money was used to repair the roof of Makomu Primary School, Tanzania.

St. Luke's Sixth Form College, through the initiative of Loraine Shakesheff, were very successful in raising over £2,000 at their Summer Fair to assist a Vocational Training School in Africa.
