Father Arbo - Founder

Arbogast Lekule was born in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania.  He attended the local schools, served in the Military, and attended Seminary School in Tanzania, Zambia and completed his theology at the Missionary Institute London, UK.  Father Arbo was ordained in 1997 at Christ the King Cathedral in Kilimanjaro.  He was posted to Nigeria and later to London and formed many friendships.  After the death of his Mother, he embarked on a sponsored climb of Kilimanjaro to raise funds to refurbish the Makomu Hospital in his home village where his mother died.  This led to the founding of You Touch Africa UK Trust in 2007.  Father Arbo was posted to St Augustine, Florida in 2018, and the US organization was incorporated in 2020.  He returned to the UK and is currently Dean of the Chatham Deanery and the Parish Priest at The Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sittingbourne.  Father Arbo is a Co-Chair Trustee on the UK Board and a Director on the US Board.  He travels to Tanzania regularly to monitor our projects and review new ones.
